History

Aeroform Ltd is a composite process engineering company with a long history in the design, development and manufacture of specialised equipment for the composite and process industries.

We provide a wide range of equipment for the manufacture of composite structures for the aerospace, military, automotive and marine industries and have in excess of 1,000 autoclaves, oven and press installations in operation worldwide supported by our global-network of offices, and service facilities.

2007 - Aeroform secures a £2.7 million order to supply an autoclave process system to an Indonesian processing manufacturer, for delivery in 2010.

2007 - Aeroform secures a 1.5 million Euro order to supply three autoclaves to a Spanish racing car manufacturer.

2007 - Orders to the value of $4 million are secured in conjunction with SFA, Aeroform’s partner in South Korea, for composite manufacturing systems for DACC and KAI.

2007 - Aeroform and Ansaldo Camozzi combine strengths through a long term partnership to build and increase production of autoclaves to meet world-wide demand.

2006 - Aeroform completes in-country build and installation of the largest autoclave in South East Asia to CTRM in Malaysia. 2007 - Aeroform secure a £6.1m order to supply an autoclave process system to a North American Processing Manufacturer scheduled for delivery in late 2007.

2006 - Airbus select Aeroform to supply the onsite build of the A350 wing skin autoclave 8.3m ø x 37m to be the largest autoclave in Europe.

2005 - Aeroform secures investment to further develop its Product Range and a new Board of Director’s are appointed to drive and strengthen the business.

2004 - Aeroform wins two contracts to supply Mitsibushi Heavy Industries with Circumferential Airflow Technology equipped Autoclaves in Japan for Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner wing and spar components.

2004 - Aeroform acquires HLM Hot Drape Forming Equipment and secures orders with Aresa, Estructuras Aeroespaciales Spain, GKN UK, Airbus Germany, Spain and the UK.

2003 - The Group secures orders to supply a large autoclave for Boeing Wichita for 787 cockpit and fuselage section.

2003 - The company builds and installs 7 autoclaves for the McLaren Mercedes Paragon facility for automotive developments.

2002 - The Group boasts more than 1400 autoclaves world-wide and becomes the Global leader of autoclaves to aerospace industry.

2001 - Awarded the contract to supply the largest autoclave in Europe to Airbus for A380 wing skin (5.5m ø x 40m) “CATS” Patent.

2001 - Aeroform wins contract to supply an autoclave to Goodrich
Singapore measuring 5.0m ø x 10m, 10bar 250°C for jet engine cowls.

2000 - The Company develops new technology for heating and airflow control and patents Airflow Control and ‘Circumferential Airflow Technology’.

1999 - Aeroform gains accreditation to Lloyds BS EN ISO9001.2000. and develops dehumidification systems for the Tornado jet.

1998 - Aeroform develop Portable Composite Hot Bonding Repair System with huge success and supply British Airways / MOD.

1997 - Contract awarded to supply Hypobaric Chamber to RAF Henlow to train pilots for all aircraft types, with contract value of £2m.

1996 - Aeroform develops dedicated Service Support Division to satisfy world-wide demand.

1995 - Company develops Integrated Software Solutions for Process Control Systems – ‘Autoclave Manager Autoclave Manager©’.

1994 - MOD selects Aeroform as Design Authority for Hypobaric Chambers and Vessel Technology.

1992 - The Company achieves MOD Approval extending technology to include Altitude Simulation Chambers for Air Defence pilots

1991 - Aeroform wins contracts with BAR / Lola / Sauber / BAe.

1989 - Leading Technology autoclaves secures orders for BP Chemicals to supply the largest autoclave in the UK for Airbus A310 / A300.

1988 - Aeroform enters Aerospace market with major wins with Matra Marconi Aerospace and BAe Systems in UK.

1987 - Aeroform develops state of the art autoclave and wins contracts to supply Benetton Formula 1.

1985 - Aeroform divests seat business to Weber Aircraft / Kidde Corporation based in the U.S.A.

1984 - Company wins major contract to supply Lufthansa with carbon fibre seats for DC10, reducing all up weight by 1 tonne.

1982 - Company achieves CAA, LBA, FAA certification for the use of seating in commercial aircraft.

1980 - Aeroform established to produce world's first all carbon fibre aircraft passenger seats for wide body jets.
